  Franco, Rocky & Friends -- It Pays to be a Good Guy
Pittsburgh sports author and historian Jim O'Brien will bes signing copies of his Pittsburgh Proud sports series, including many books devoted to the Steelers. His latest book is entitled "Franco, Rocky & Friends -- It Pays to be a Good Guy." It is 480 pages, with 260 photos and illustrations, and has many revealing stories about some of the greatest players in NFL history. Find out why J.T. Thomas played football -- it will knock your socks off. Jim will be at Hometown Sports -- known as "Steelers Heaven" -- from noon till 6 p.m.,, which is located at 1930 East Carson Street, zip code 15203 in the heart of the city's South Side. Books are $28 apiece and are signed to your personal request.

Jim O'Brien will be doing the first signing with his newest book -- FROM A TO Z -- A Boxing Memoir from Ali to Zivic. It's a book about all the great boxers from Pittsburgh and Western Pa. and all the great boxers who came to Pittsburgh to fight. Muhammad Ali and Fritzie Zivic share space with other world champions such as Joe Louis, Floyd Patterson, Sugar Ray Robinson, all written in a very personal style from association with these men. From 4 to 8 p.m. and again first thing Sunday morning, from 10 a.m. till noon, at Hometowne Sports at Station Square.

He will be at Hometowne Sports at Station Square from 11 a.m. till 3 p.m. He has several books that feature Pirates baseball -- We Had 'Em All The Way --Bob Prince and his Pittsburgh Pirates; Fantasy Camp -- Living the Dream With Maz and the '60 Bucs; Immaculate Reflections -- thoughts about all the Pittsburgh sports teams. He will also be signing copies of his newest book "Chuck Noll -- A Winning Way."
